Rev. Keya Hillman will share how is Jesus is a model for service and justice using his ministry and his parables as examples. For example, His healing of those who were sick was not just about wellness, but restoration to the community and temple. His ministry with and to women is one example that he believed all are equal, particularly to bear and share the Gospel. Matthew 25:25-40 and the least of these. Rev. Keya will share how this has informed her ministry as a pastor to be personally involved in ministries of service and justice even outside of the church's ministries and that God calls all of us individually and collectively to serve.
